HVAC or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, is the technology of indoor or vehicular environmental comfort.  HVAC designs are based off of mechanical engineering and are very important to an area's air flow.  In networking, the HVAC systme is very important for places such as the MDF so that the area has the proper air flow and can stay cool enough for the equipment to function properly.
