Glossary of terms

During our studies of Networking, we will encounter many acronyms and Network terminology that we all need to understand. The purpose of this assignment is to create awareness and understanding of the plethora of terms and acronyms that we will be learning. Each student is responsible for 10 acronyms, which is the equivalent of one per week. At the end of the course we will have built a glossary of at least 80 terms that we have defined. This is a great place in the coursework to earn some 'extra' credit.
The Glossary is an ongoing assignment. Each student will prepare a web page in the site describing the acronym or term that is of interest in the week's study. The expectation is that the web page (you have all been given edit rights to this site) will be a summary of the research that you have done about the specific term. All resources will be cited at the end of the page. Simply copying verbatim from sites like Wikipedia is not the intent of the assignment. Rather, the intent is to use your synthesis and analysis skills to write a summary of the term in your own words to demonstrate that you have learned something about the acronym, term, or protocol. Use whatever sources you like but write the page summary in your own words and be sure to cite the sources appropriately. I have provided an example with the Ping Page.
